The G-Plus head wasn’t supposed to be available until after summer NAMM, but thanks to BDT reader Jay, who miraculously purchased some from his local store, we got pics! The heads are rather on the plain side (particularly after the hotness of the EC2), but we’re suckers for all new drum gear. Behold:

Over the past several years, it seems like drum gear manufacturers have lost the love for summer NAMM, but thankfully Evans at least will be coming to the show with something new—the G-Plus tom head. According to the press release, it’s a single-ply skin that offers “warm tone and ample sustain, plus denser attack and improved projection with increased durability.” The head will be available in sizes 6″ to 20″ and retail prices will range from $24 to $47. No picture of the G-Plus yet, but given that Evans has really hit drumhead aesthetics out of the proverbial park with the EC series, we’re looking to be impressed.
