Just about every sorta-name drummer on the planet has a signature stick, cymbal, or drum these days, but Matt Sorum joins a select few with this one: a signature clothing line. The drummer-inspired duds will be called Sorum Noce, a combination of our hero’s last name and that of designer Max Noce. The pair will be opening up a store in West Hollywood this March, right across the street from celebrity-slumming drinkery Urth Caffe.
A clothing line is all fine and good, and we genuinely wish Sorum’s endeavor well. But it’s going to fail. Why? Look at the source article. It’s plastered with pics of Slash, but not a single shot of Sorum. And that’s because drummers, despite the media savvy efforts of even the biggest cocked among us, just don’t sell merchandise. Point final.
