Wood Rock Band Drum Mod

We have seen some cool mods of a Rock Band drum kit, but this one is sticks down the most impressive yet. The builder/author over at edrums.info has provided detailed photos with instructions if you want to have a go at making your own. Be sure to check out the site for other DIY tutorials as well. Really good stuff.

Rock Band for the Wii

Is on the way, and Joystiq has the answers to nine nagging questions. More important, though, the site snagged a pic of the wii’s virginal-white drum kit. Try not to slobber too much:

Real Kick Pedal Mod for Rock Band

Finally, finally, finally, it has been done—a bona fide kick mod for Rock Band. It’s called the Omega pedal, and it’ll be manufactured by Steradian Technologies, a company heretofore known for “professional grade” laser tag gear. $74.95 gets you what looks to be a tricked out Pearl P-120P (which in its original incarnation can be had from Amazon for 50 bucks). The website says the e-stomper is scheduled for a March release, so assuming Pearl’s lawyers don’t get involved, we got only two weeks to go.

[update: The site is also peddling the Twin Rocker ($24.95), an attachment that allows for Rock Band double kicking. Full review after we've had time to change our shorts.]

More Rock Band Mods

This one is for our pencil playing brethren. Rock on.

Double Kick Mod for Rock Band

This isn’t a mod for a real double pedal, but if you actually manage to decipher the chicken-scratch schematic, you’ll be the only drummer on your block who can play Rock Band with both feet. Two small steps for drummerkind.

Full Kit Mod for Rock Band

Well, that didn’t take long. Only a week ago, one dude modded a real kick pedal for Rock Band, and now some super dude has done it for a real kit. Looks like you still have to play hi-hat patterns on one of the drums, but this is definitely an improvement over the game’s standard drum controllers.
