Steven Adler on Celebrity Rehab

The ex-GNR drummer will appear on the upcoming season of Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew. We’re guessing there’ll be plenty of Axl rants but probably a dearth of drum solos. So here’s a rare (and fairly embarrassing) one from back in the day; scroll to around 2:40 if you can’t make it through a live version of “Rocket Queen”:

Cindy Blackman in New VW Commercials

Yep, you weren’t just seeing things: that is Cindy Blackman drivin’ the band in VW’s latest commercials. We’re going to collect them all in this post for your viewing pleasure. Send us a shout if you know of any others.

Joey Kramer on TV

Joey Kramer was on Backstage With Barry Nolan last week. Nothing new revealed—Aerosmith, past drug addiction, current charity work, car collection—but it’s always great to see a drummer brutha’ getting some face time. Check it out below.

Tommy Lee Goes Green

Man, Tommy will just not give up TV star dreamin’. In his latest bid for small screen stardom, he pairs up with rapper Ludacris for a reality program called Battleground Earth. The premise? The two travel across the U.S. in separate tour buses, trying to outdo each other with being environmentally conscious and spreading the message of why it’s good to be green.

Yawn. If you can pry your eyes open, the show airs in August on Discovery Network’s new Planet Green channel.

Samantha Maloney Tackles TV

Maloney played drums for Motley Crue, Hole, Peaches, and Eagles of Death Metal, but it’s hard to keep a hot chick talented woman hidden behind a kit. So now she’s stepping out as host for ManiaTV’s All Access, a new show that “takes the viewer deep inside the world of major artists and showcases the best in new music.” A couple episodes are available on demand here.

The Roots on the Colbert Report

YouTube yanked down its clip of The Roots performing “The Star Spangled Banner” on Colbert, but the crafty folks at hiphopmusic.com hunted down a version from Comedy Central. Ladies and gentlemen, please rise (before the copyright cops make us sit down again):
