Vampire Weekend Drummer Injured

Details are sketchy as of this post, but NME is reporting that Chris Thomson, drummer for the excellent band Vampire Weekend, was hit by a car tonight in London. He received treatment on the scene and was then taken to Royal London Hospital. According to NME,
A puddle of red liquid was on the tarmac where the drummer was felled, and a jacket caked in what looked like blood was lying by the side of the road.
We’ll keep our sticks crossed for him.
[update 2/29/08: Chris was released from the hospital and is doing good; in fact, he’s “100% fit” according to the band’s publicist.]
