What the hell is this website? Big Drum Thump (BDT) is the Web’s most irreverent resource for current drumming news, reviews, and commentary. We specialize in stealing stories from the competition, making up stories if there’s nothing to steal, and lacing our purloined fabrications with innuendo, hearsay, and profanity. Enjoy.
How did you come up with the name? Ah, that is a fairly scandalous story involving a bottle of Southern Comfort, a can of Coke, and a misremembered passage from Walt Whitman. Destiny works in mysterious ways.
Who are you people? A loose collective of drummers, writers, artists, and photographers who pretty much have only two things in common: poverty and our unflagging love of drumshit.
